Surrounded by grassland, on a sunny slope, the guest house „Anna Matt“ is a free standing house on approx 900m height. Its peaceful location is only a 3 minutes walk away from the village center.

Built as a farmhouse around 1700, since 1934 Anna Matt is a popular guest house. Meanwhile, the linking of a wooden house and a loving and creative interior design comes to an unique experience of nature. We have a large garden with patio, a lawn, a small football pitch and a swing set, a slide and sandbox for children.

The cozy guest rooms offer a magnificent view over the Steibis and Allgäu landscape. They are equipped with a private bathroom ( shower, washbain, toilet) and comfortable 2m long beds.

The guests’ lounge invites with its fireplace for socializing, reading, playing games, music or even to work (WiFi, TV with DVD and video available). Our breakfast buffet consists primarily of vegetable and fresh, lovingly processed organic food.

We use revitalized water ( after Johann Grander), Himalayan salt, cold-pressed quality oils and fresh herbs from the garden. The grain for bread and rolls are freshly milled and the breakfast porridge is cooked in ceramic pots. For snacks or „ self-catering“ , a kettle, glasses, cups, plates, cutlery and a fridge is on hand.

Our non-smoking house offers space for both, relaxing and adventurous or contemplative vacation, for silence, meeting in a familiar atmosphere for feasting and fasting,walking,wellness …
The wide range of “Oberstaufen Plus-Card” allows the free use of cable cars to Imberg, Hochgrat and Hündle. Swim four hours for free and have a sauna in the water park Aquaria, 2 hours of sports Hauber,climbing in the summer, a free ski pass in the winter, free parking und much more …
