Bio B&B La Fanciullaccia

The Bio B & B La Fanciullaccia is located in an old farmhouse in the hills of Santo Pietro Belvedere, halfway between Pisa and Volterra .

The building dates back to the early 18th century and has been extended and renovated several times. Since we moved here in 1999, we have also made some changes, respecting the traditional architectural elements.

Two other buildings belong to the house. One is our brick wood-burning oven. In the garage there is space for bicycles and tools. Here on the roof is installed our solar system.

Our rooms

Our largest guest room used to be a wine vault and has a distinctive brick cross vault. The room sleeps 2-4; we can add a single bed for children under 12. The other bedroom, with a double bed, offers panoramic views of Santopietro Belvedere and the nearby valley. Both bedrooms have private bathrooms and entrances and are furnished with family furniture from the 1920s and 1930s.

La Fanciullaccia includes 7000 square meters of land, with a variety of aromatic plants (about 90 species ), fruit plants (about 40 species) and edible wild plants (about 50 species). To get to know this plant diversity, we offer expert guided tours.

Breakfast

Our breakfast consists of organic food, some of which we produce ourselves -
from our own olive grove, fruit and vegetable garden. We also serve tea, coffee, milk and herbal teas.
We are committed to the health of people and the environment and therefore do not support conventional agriculture.

Optional services

We do not have televisions, but we offer ADSL WiFi for several hours a day.
A washing machine is also available.

Mountain bikes can be borrowed from us free of charge, you can park your own bikes in a closed room.

We will provide you with information about museums, events and places of interest.

We can also recommend restaurants in the area (up to 15 km radius) that offer vegan dishes.
