Country Hearth Bed and Breakfast

Located in eastern Lancaster County in the small town of New Holland, the Country Hearth Bed and Breakfast was built in 1793.

Inside, the Country Hearth features oak and pine random-width floors, wide windows sills and original fireplaces. The building’s country charm is accented by modern amenities including individual temperature controls, private bathrooms, and high speed Wi-Fi. All four guest rooms have their own personality and features. Each bed is adorned with a beautiful, locally-made quilt.

Activities

With the Country Hearth being a short walk to downtown, you can easily take advantage of the activities, shops, cafés and restaurants. The Farmer’s Fair in October and the town’s Christmas on Main event in early December both start just a block from the B&B. Concerts and craft fairs are held throughout the summer in the park, including fireworks for July 4.

Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, attending the theater, going antique or outlet shopping, or simply exploring the countryside, we are centrally located right on Route 23. And if your preference is to stay in and relax, we have an extensive game collection of over 250 board and card games and a cozy library where you can sit in front of the fire with a book from our eclectic collection.

Full three-course vegetarian breakfast

We serve a full three-course vegetarian breakfast in our gathering room each morning. Many of our dishes (including our scratch-made muffins and scones) are prepared vegan every day, and for non-vegan guests we often serve dishes that include eggs and cheese. A variety of small tables can be arranged to accommodate parties from a single traveler to a full house of eight.
